The SMS PASSCODE Blog – technology leader in two-factor authentication

As a follow-up to the SMS PASSCODE Version 5 release, we also announced a partnership with Telesign, a leading authentication one-time-password voice delivery service that enable the delivery of SMS PASSCODE as a voice call that reads the code to users. Essentially, when a user securely accesses a login system remotely, they are first validated with User ID and password before SMS PASSCODE generate and send a session specific code to the users mobile device. With this partnership, the code can be delivered to the users phone even if it is not SMS enabled via a voice dial out call. Based on the advanced policy engine in SMS PASSCODE, this can be delivered as a primary or a redundancy routine ensuring delivery of the code anywhere in the world.  Telesign is unique in the sense that they focus on delivering reliable authentication services and thus has the quality of service and infrastructure required to support a mission critical system like SMS PASSCODE. It can also deliver it as a Web Service SMS. Unlike regular SMS gateway services that are used for all sorts of bulk message delivery this is focussed on mission critical authentication needs.
